Wine cellars 'are a must' for premium properties
The latest must-have to impress guests in the home is not a gym or swimming pool, apparently - wine cellars are in, and have the benefit of giving owners somewhere to put their Latour.
According to an article in the Daily Telegraph, wine cellars are popular with stars like Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, who has one in his New York apartment - despite being under the US legal drinking age.
"People are improving rather than moving and having a wine cellar is something you can enjoy and show off to your friends – especially if you have a glass trapdoor into the dining room," Sarah Hargreaves of Spiral Cellars told the newspaper.
Wine buff Clare Langstaff, the proud owner of a 650-bottle cellar, added that hers keeps her from accidentally using Pomerol for cooking.
