FINE+RARE has received the Queens Award for International Trade after increasing its exports by 153 per cent to £36 million.
The wine broker, which provides a trading platform for premium vintages from Bordeaux, Burgundy and around the world, completed over 17,000 transactions for its customers last year, which involved buying and selling 50,000 cases of wine.
Mark Bedini, chief executive officer of FINE+RARE, said the Queens Award for International Trade was recognition for the work the company's team has done to broaden its international customer base.
"We have a long-term strategy to further develop the Asian Markets with China now a significant buyer and to meet growing demand from newer markets such as India and Brazil," he added.
Mr Bedini went on to say that rising sales in Europe, coupled with the recovery of the US market, will help to drive further success in future.
FINE+RARE was established by Mr Bedini and Bud Cuchet in 1994.
