Dom Perignon launches another two vintages
Two new vintages of Dom Perignon Champagne have been released by chef de cave Richard Geoffroy.
In a live decanter.com webcast, Dom Perignon Brut 2002 and Oenotheque Brut 1996 were presented for the first time, while readers of the publication were invited to ask questions of the acclaimed winemaker.
Mr Geoffroy also tasted another pair of recent releases from Dom Perignon - the Rose 2000 and the Oenotheque Rose 1990, which was launched to the public in March - as well as describing the perfect dish to accompany the Brut 2002.
Scion of a long-established family Cote des Blanc winegrowers, Richard Geoffroy is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Oenologie in Reims and has also served as technical adviser for Domaines Chandon before being named Dom Perignon's chef de cave.
In 2006, he came up with the brand's "seven sensualities" series of dinners designed to accompany various vintages of its Champagne.
