Oenophiles hoping to see the directors of Margaux, Haut-Brion, Lafite-Rothschild and the other Bordeaux first growths at Decanter's Fine Wine Encounter in November may be disappointed, after tickets for the event sold out in record time.

All 85 tickets to the masterclass, which features the heads of Bordeaux's five best-known chateaux, were bought shortly after bookings opened yesterday (August 4th).

However, places are still available for some of the Fine Wine Encounter's other masterclasses, including Brunello di Montalcino: A Discovery of Terroir and chateau la Mission Haut-Brion, where Jean-Philippe Delmas will present ten vintages from Bordeaux's "sixth growth".

Tickets for the grand tasting on both days are also still available, according to Decanter.com.

The event will take place at the Landmark Hotel in London on November 13th and 14th, and will mark the first time in 20 years that the directors of all five first growths have come together on a podium.
