Galvin at Windows, the restaurant at London Hilton, has
announced that it will serve vintage fine wines by the glass during
a two-week promotion this month.
Those who wish to sample Cos d'Estournel, chateau Chasse-Spleen
or chateau Pape-Clement without splashing out on a whole bottle
will be able to try samples at the hotel between August 16th and
the 27th, foodepedia.co.uk reports.
Wines will be selected by restaurant manager Fred Sirieix, who
will open a different bottle each day at BST 20:00.
It will be served by the glass at a price based on the cost of
the bottle - but with prices starting at £20 per glass, the
promotion is likely to appeal to serious wine buffs only.
Galvin at Windows opened in May 2006 and was recently awarded
its first Michelin star.
"It is fantastic to gain recognition for the good, honest food
that we serve and genuine hospitality," commented Mr Sirieix.
