Interior design experts at Casson Mann have released some exhibition designs for the new wine visitor centre in Bordeaux.
The city wants to use its place as the historic centre of the wine world to create a vibrant tourist attraction that will draw visitors from across the globe.
Casson Mann's early exhibition designs are based around the idea of a tourbillon, or swirl, with the structure seeking to replicate the effect created when wine is swirled in a glass decanter.
Curving paths guide visitors in a fluid way throughout the exhibits, with the stories of the displayed wines and the region's history made a central part of the journey.
Roger Mann, co-director of Casson Mann, said that it is a tremendous honour to be involved in the project.
"This is a fantastic opportunity, working with the architects, to make the installation and the building a seamless experience," he said.
The centre, which is set to open in 2014, hopes to attract around 400,000 visitors a year.
