Burgundy vintages are due to take centre stage at an upcoming fine wine auction, capitalising on their growing popularity.
An additional 76 lots of classic Burgundy wines from a private wine cellar have been added to the Bonhams auction on October 21st, the Drinks Business reports.
Highlights of the sale include Chamberlain Clos de Beze 1978 from Armand Rousseau, George Roumier's Bonnes-Mares 1982 and six bottles of the Domaine Romanee Conti Grands Echezeaux 1959.
Alongside these classic Burgundy wines, Bonhams will be auctioning a variety of vintage port, as well as some rare champagnes, clarets and Sauternes, the publication notes.
A jeroboam of La Tache, Domaine Romanee Conti 2005 sold for £13,444 at a fine wine auction in New York last month, Paul Fraser Collectibles reported.
The sale, held by the Acker Merrall & Condit auction house, saw a total of £3.2 million worth of fine wine sold, including a number of classic Burgundy vintages.
