The 2017 Valandraud Blanc is always a joy at this early stage and this vintage is no different. It has a well defined bouquet with scents of white peach, freshly sliced grapefruit, nectarine and dried pineapple. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It conveys a palpable sense of energy and perhaps a little spicier towards the extended finish. It lingers nicely in the mouth and suggests a white Saint-Émilion that will age with style.
