The 2015 Château Tour Seran, blended by world champion sommelier Andreas Larsson no less, has a brisk, clean blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet, the oak neatly integrated. The palate has a pastille-like entry, succulent in the mouth with citrus lemon piercing the cassis and black cherry fruit, leading to quite a grippy, oaky finish that suggests it will need 5-6 years in bottle. Quite an evolved, complete nose already. Lots of juice and bright fruit. Lots of sandy tannins on the end. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2023-2029
The 2015 Tour Séran is a fleshy, powerful Cru Bourgeois. Iron, smoke, leather, cedar and tobacco wrap around a core of intense, dark fruit. Bleeding of the musts resulted in an unusually rich wine with big fruit and equally imposing tannins. It will be interesting to see how the 2015 turns out after bottling. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker. Apr 2016,
