Disgorged October 2015. The current release of Tarlant Brut Nature NV is from the base year of 2008 and spent fully six years aging sur latte prior to disgorgement. The cépages is one third each of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. The wine delivers a superb bouquet of apple, white peach, brioche, complex soil tones, a touch of smokiness and a bit of sweet walnut in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully complex, with brisk acids, a superb core, lovely soil drive, elegant mousse and a very long, focused and vibrant finish. The long aging sur latte for a non-vintage bottling is pretty extraordinary, and the wine has turned out marvelously from all of this patience! Nov 2016, www.viewfromthecellar.com, Drink: 2016-2030
The NV Brut Nature Zero shows remarkable tension, as suggestions of jasmine, white peaches and minerals vie for center stage with the wine's structural components. This shows tons of energy yet seems to be holding quite a bit back in reserve as well. The Brut Nature Zero is a fabulous wine, but it, too, needs to be enjoyed at the table. The Brut Nature Zero is equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, based on 2006, with the addition of reserve wines. This bottle was disgorged in June 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015. Wine Advocate.December, 2010
A third each of Pinot Noir, Menuier and Chardonnay. Very clean and bright in colour. Citrus on the nose then absolutely explosive on the palate. Fresh, lively and vibrant. Incredibly pure fruit balanced with a finesse and elegance throughout. Finely chiseled, laser-like precision on the long finish. June 2015
