The straw yellow 2014 von Buhl Riesling Brut shows a deep, very clear, pure and intensely aromatic bouquet of ripe and stewed apples along with finest citrus, melting butter, and just a few hints of nutty flavors. Medium-bodied and round this German sparkling wine shows a very elegant and well balanced dry fruit with a good structure that underlines the purity and finesse of this excellent Riesling Sekt. I tasted it twice, for the first time end of October just a few days after the disgorgement and again end of November. Naturally the wine was still discreet but very promising. The dry purity and well structured finesse and elegance make this one of the finest German Riesling Sekts. It won't be in the markets earlier than spring 2016.
