A wonderful sense of lift and transparency suffuse Deiss's 2008 Schoenenbourg even as it projects an aura of herbal and gentian distillates; melon and citrus liqueur; and crystallized ginger, all bolstered by high-glycerin and unabashed sweetness. On the one hand this is metaphorically cooling, soothing, and elegantly refined; on the other it harbors a sense of both perpetual motion and firm underlying frame. I would anticipate 20-25 years of glory, although based on the proclivities of this site - as heretofore manifested to me, admittedly by pure Rieslings - one would have expected reduction and reluctance to perform still at this stage, and perhaps a closed, reduced phase yet awaits this. Restaurant Review: Al Boccon di’vino
Chris Kelly reviews Al Boccon di'vino, a vibrant Italian restaurant in Richmond that does away with menus for an authentic Venetian dining experience... I struggle to think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in December than over a long, slightly boozy lunch somewhere cosy, friendly and where the food is unpretentious but brilliant. Salubrious Richmond’s Al Boccon di’Vino ...
