A step up over the Cotes du Rhone, and what could be the best vintage of the cuvee to date, the 2014 Saint Joseph les Vinsonnes is an elegant, layered and medium-bodied effort that gives up beautiful aromas of cassis, toasted spice, crushed flowers and licorice. It has beautiful mid-palate depth, fine tannin and ample minerality that emerges on the finish. It should drink nicely on release and have upwards of a decade of overall longevity.
