The range of Finca Nueva is completed with the 2004 Gran Reserva, which is a wine that has been in bottle since July 2007. It is a varietal Tempranillo aged in 50/50 French and American oak barrels for two years. This is a wine from the year the project was created. This wine shows the best of both worlds, the freshness and balance of the new age wines and the subtlety and elegance of the more traditional ones. There is a great advantage of releasing your first Gran Reserva in a vintage like 2004. Gran Reserva is only produced in 2004, 2005, 2010 and 2015, and this is the first to be released, as Miguel Angel de Gregorio wants to age them in bottle so you can buy it and drink it. The wine has resolved its tannins with the years in bottle and is velvety and soft, with balance and enough fruit and acidity to have a long life in bottle. 5,000 bottles produced.
