1991 Richebourg

This vintage unquestionably produced mixed performances by this member of the Gros family. The only successful wine is the superb 1991 Richebourg. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet nose of black-raspberries, flowers, and rich, concentrated flavors that linger on the palate. It is an example of how red burgundy can be both light and elegant yet persuasively rich and compelling. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Dec 1993, www.robertparker.com
