2011 Poujeaux

One of the most successful wines in the Moulis-Listrac appellations, Poujeaux (owned by the Cuvelier family, also the proprietors of the impressive St.-Emilion estate of Clos Fourtet) has turned out a surprisingly good wine in 2011. Its dark ruby color is followed by sweet plum, black cherry and currant fruit, no herbaceousness, a medium-bodied, elegant mouthfeel, and noteworthy purity. Drink this tasty, mid-weight Moulis over the next 5-6 years. Apr 2014, www.robertparker.com
