The wine with the highest percentage of Cabernet Franc in the Moueix range, Plince is a very stylish blend in 2015, with scented oak, polished tannins, a grassy undertone and more grip than is at first apparent. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2020-2030
Very fresh, with lively acidity taking the lead, along with fine-grained tannins. Offers delightful raspberry and boysenberry fruit, backed by a warm fruitcake note. Mar 2016, James Molesworth,
The 2015 Plince is a blend of 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc. It has a broody, sous-bois tinged bouquet, dried flowers tincturing the mulberry fruit that opens nicely in the glass, but never fully lets go. The palate has pleasing fatness and weight on the entry, grippy tannin, smooth and velvety in texture with a savory, almost meaty edginess on the finish. Drink over the next decade. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2018-2028
A Jean-Pierre Moueix wine. 74% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc. Siliceous on an iron pan. Nutty nose with very broad, sweet fruit and lightly astringent tannins. A bit of oak in evidence. Needs time. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2024-2036
The 2015 Plince offers good depth, but the fruit is overripe and the tannins are green, both of which suggest some imbalance in the vineyard. It's hard to see too much upside here, but time will tell. Plince is 74% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc. Apr 2016,
