Somewhat formulaic, this 2001 Pomerol exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, plenty of new oak, and ripe fruit, but it appears to lack soul. Medium-bodied, with moderate tannin, a sweet palate, but little complexity, perhaps more will emerge with additional bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2013. Wine Advocate.June, 2004
