This fresh red offers a lightly firm, minerally frame to its damson plum, black currant and tobacco notes, with nice length. James Molesworth,
This is still one of my favorite Cru Bourgeois estates, ever since I discovered the 1982, which drank well for a full decade of its life. This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot is surprisingly full-bodied in 2010. Deep ruby/purple, with loads of loamy soil notes, forest floor, black currant, and even some smoky herbs and a splash of lavender, it’s a sleeper of the vintage, a richly textured, multi-dimensional and very attractive wine to drink over the next 7-10 years. ||A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc. I like the smoky, ripe fruit and spice character to this. Medium body. Short finish.
Very aromatic and sweet and a bit simple. Charming rather than inspiring.
Good, slightly smoky cassis fruit, nice balance, quite forward style. Drink 2013-17. Steven Spurrier,
