The 2016 Pabus has a very well defined bouquet of pure black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, the oak here seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy saturated tannin, grippy in the mouth yet with the tension and silkiness that leaves you smitten. Let's hope this Bordeaux Supérieur can replicate this form in bottle. Apr 2017, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2019-2029
The 2016 Pabus has the potential to be one of the sleepers of the vintage. Powerful and resonant on the palate, with terrific fruit intensity and plenty of supporting structure, it is remarkably harmonious for such a young wine. Far from an easygoing Bordeaux Supérieur, the 2016 Pabus appears to have the pedigree to also develop nicely in bottle for at least a handful of years, maybe more. Apr 2017, www.vinous.com
