2006 Nairac

Tasted at the Sauternes 2006 ten-year on horizontal in Bordeaux. The 2006 Nairac has a perfumed orange peel and mango-scented nose that takes time to blossom from the glass. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, quite racy and energetic in the mouth, with hints of white peach and pineapple towards the finish that displays plenty of botrytised fruit. This appears to be discretely meliorating with time in bottle and comes recommended. Tasted April 2016. May 2016, www.robertparker.com
