The 1994 Montevetrano is one of the smaller-scaled wines in this line-up, most of which can be attributed to the excessive rain that year. Dried cherries, flowers, herbs and tobacco come together very nicely. Stylistically the 1994 is similar to the 1995 although it doesn’t have that wine’s finesse, especially in the tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2018. Aug 2010, www.robertparker.com
