This is very good for the appellation with currants and flowers on the nose and palate. Medium to full body, with velvety tannins and a delicately fruity finish. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
Finally! A little blue fruit creeping in here which adds a fresh dimension. Nicely done.
Fine aromatic expression and good precise fruit, well-defined elegance and persistence. Drink 2015-2025. (16 points) . Decanter.com
Light, with modest plum and cherry fruit and a floral hint. Clean and pure, but a bit shy on stuffing in the end. James Molesworth, WineSpectator.com
A blend of 25% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, there is a touch of over-ripeness on the nose of the Monbrison ’11 that lacks the femininity of some of its peers...perhaps a little “clunky”. The palate is lively and crisp with sappy tannins and plenty of dark dusky fruit, but it seems rather static on the finish. Tasted twice. Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com
