The 2014 Mejean, from Ayguemortes-les-Graves, comes from vines planted in 1999 and is under the direction of Bruno Geraud. It has a lovely raspberry coulis and strawberry bouquet with satisfying lift. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, smooth texture with dark cherry, cola and a touch of brown spice towards the easygoing, slightly rustic finish. Enjoy this over four or five years, possibly longer. Mar 2017, www.robertparker.com
