Denis Barraud has crafted a very impressive 2016 Lynsolence. It has a crisp and well defined bouquet with blackberry and wild hedgerow scents, a little muted at first but just a few swirls is all it needs. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin on the entry, a fine bead of acidity, well balanced with a harmonious finish with a cheeky hint of orange rind. More refined than I have noticed compared to previous vintages, yet maintaining intensity, this comes highly recommended. Apr 2017,
Very pretty depth of fruit here with beautiful intensity and richness. Yet always balanced and in reserve. Medium body. Fine tannins. Mar 2017,
The 2016 Lynsolence is ripe, jammy and unctuous, with plenty of inky fruit, crème de cassis, licorice, sweet oak and spice notes. Deceptively medium in body, the 2016 is bold and racy in style. Apr 2017,
Deep purplish crimson. Very rich and 'modern' on the nose. Pencil shavings on the finish. A tad brutal. Apr 2017,, Drink: 2027-2035
