Each Baccarat decanter of Louis XIII is truly unique. It takes a minimum two weeks to produce a single bottle by hand and no two are the same. This, however, is a mere fraction of the time required to produce the exquisite liquid within. Only the best grapes from the Grande Champagne region are selected to one day become Louis XIII. A single decanter contains approximately 1,200 eaux de vie, distilled on lees, and aged for up to 100 years in traditional Limousin oak casks called tierçons.
