100% Merlot. Same ownership as Clos Fourtet. Ripe with dark cherry notes and fine grain of tannin. Good tension; well executed and precise. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2022-2035
Score: 91-/100 Decanter Drinking Window: 2022-2035
The 2015 Les Grandes Murailles shows its typical flavor profile, but, as is the case with so many wines this year, everything is ampled up. Blueberry, plum, crème de cassis and lavender abound. Les Grandes Murailles is typically a bit more lifted and ethereal in style, but in 2015 it is quite a bit fleshier and also less aromatically expressive than is typical. The 2015 is a big Grandes Murailles that is going to need time to shed some baby fat. I imagine it will always remain on the exuberant side of things. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
Score: 89-92/100 Antonio Galloni
They 2015 Grandes Murailles has a very high-toned bouquet that offered backed cherries, a touch of eau-de-vie and griottes. The palate is sweet on the entry with lithe tannin. There is a lot of new oak to be absorbed here, a seductive Saint Émilion...but I wonder whether there is the substance and personality behind it? This can be a great wine, but I need to see how this performs in bottle. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2018-2028
Score: 89-91/100 Neal Martin Drinking Window: 2018-2028
The 2015 Grandes Murailles is medium garnet-purple with a nose of sauteed herbs, tilled soil and mossy bark over a core of warm red and black cherries plus a hint of pencil lead. The full-bodied palate is firm and chewy with plenty of earthy expression and good length. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com

http://vosne-romanee.fr/[/caption] The grand cru vineyards of Vosne-Romanee are arguably the finest vineyards in the world. Chambertin and Musigny might make a fight of it, though the clump that is La Romanee, Romanee-Conti, La Tache, La Grande Rue, Richebourg and Romanee St Vivant is some very, very serious soil. Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux should, strictly, be included here but they ...
