Average Score 90.58

A fresh and vibrant second wine of Pavie with ultra-fine tannins and a pretty finish. Lovely length. Lively. Mar 2017,
Gerard Perse's second wine of Château Pavie is a good indicator of the vintage. This dense wine boasts dark tannins and concentration. It has the ripeness of the vintage while at the same time serious tannins. Apr 2017, Roger Voss,
This gushes with boysenberry and blueberry preserve flavors, inlaid with sweet spice and toast accents and backed by a hint of ganache. Offers lots of fruit, but this is ultimately open-knit. For the hedonist crowd. Apr 2017, James Molesworth,
Pavie's second wine made from around 30% of production in 2016, with 70% in the main event. This has some lovely, extremely tight coffee and black chocolate flavours. It's excellent quality, still very much in the Pavie mould of impact and power, the iron fist around a distinctly rich velvet glove approach. 66% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon. Apr 2017,, Drink: 2023-2038
The 2016 Arômes de Pavie is a delicious second wine from Pavie. Juicy, succulent and expressive, the 2016 is showing very well today. Racy red and purplish fruit, spice and new leather flesh out in the glass. A wine with striking fruit intensity and no hard edges, the 2016 will be ready to deliver maximum pleasure pretty much upon release. Apr 2017,
The 2016 Aromes de Pavie, the Deuxieme Vin of Chateau Pavie, is a blend of 66% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon cropped at 42 hectoliters per hectare and matured in 50% new oak. It has a powerful and voluminous bouquet with sweet ripe black cherries, blueberry and a dash of black pepper. The palate is full-bodied with a firm grip in the mouth, a powerful and demonstrative Aromes de Pavie that just needs a little less new oak on the finish. I appreciate the weight and concentration here... it just needs to muster a little more refinement. Apr 2017,
