Average Score 84.5

The second wine, Le Dragon de Quintus could be simply looked at as a name to appeal to the Asian marketplace, but I think there’s more to it. A final blend of 56% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is fruity, soft, dark ruby, medium-bodied, but falls off relatively quickly in the mouth. ||This property was purchased by the owners of Haut-Brion and La Mission-Haut-Brion, along with their acquisition of nearby L’Arrosee. The estate used to be called Tertre Daugay, but now has been renamed Quintus. Wine Advocate.August, 2014
The 2013 Le Dragon de Quintus, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, has a light, cranberry and strawberry-scented bouquet that feels a little one-dimensional compared to recent vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a keen line of acidity and moderate depth. Approachable now with agreeable tension on the finish, perhaps I was a little mean towards this deuxieme vin out of barrel. It is rather short but it should give some drinking pleasure over the next 2-3 years. Oct 2016, www.robertparker.com
