Solid core of fruit to this baby Bordeaux with lots of rich and juicy fruit as well as chocolate, dark-berry and stone character. Like it a lot! Mar 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
The 2016 Laussac has a charming if slightly rustic bouquet that is well defined and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, quite classic in style with plenty of undergrowth-infused black fruit towards the finish, but I like the length and its nascent stubbornness. This could well turn out to be a very delicious Côtes de Castillon. Apr 2017, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2019-2029
My very first 2016 Bordeaux! Very energetic and dynamic. Soars out of the glass. Quite a luxurious texture. Apr 2017, www.jancisrobinson.com, Drink: 2022-2030
Owned by Alexandra and Nicolas Robin, this is a fairly large property at 28ha. It holds itself back a little more than some, as the 25% Cabernet Franc takes its time to open up against the 75% Merlot. The ripe, confident fruit is just a tiny bit drying on the finish. Apr 2017, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2023-2038
The 2016 de Laussac offers notable intensity, as it so often does. Unfortunately, the oak is also overpowering, which is a shame, as there appears to be good purity of fruit as well as considerable potential beneath the slathering of wood. Tasted two times. Apr 2017, www.vinous.com
