2006 Latricieres Chambertin

Smoked meat, rose hip, and citrus zest on the nose of the Potel 2006 Latricieres-Chambertin are backed up by an invigorating and intense palate attack, sap and stuffing combined with resinous oiliness and brightness of fresh red fruits; and a vibratory interaction of carnal, herbal, and fruit elements for a finish. This is a bit like a testosterone-charged adolescent male, ungainly and just possibly dangerous to cellar. But I would be inclined to give it a few years and to anticipate considerable stability thereafter. The underlying tannic structure is fine here, betraying no ill-effects of hail.
