A reasonably well-made 1993, this wine exhibits the textbook earth, vanillin, lead pencil, and cassis aromas of a young Bordeaux. With airing, some of the herbal, green pepper notes of this vintage make their presence known. Spicy, with moderate tannin, medium body, and a tendency toward leanness and austerity, this wine should be drunk over the next 4-5 years before it dries out. Feb 1997, www.robertparker.com
