Average Score 91.0

Intense aromas of sliced meat, with tobacco and flowers as well as ripe fruit. Full body, with soft and silky tannins and a juicy finish. A little short hollow in mid-palate. But outstanding all the same. Try in 2018. James Suckling,
Clearly a distinguished wine. Long, linear, fresh. Elegant bouquet. Finely worked tannins. Drink 2015-2028
It has been many years since l’Arrosee made a wine this brilliant. Always one of the more delicate, Burgundian-styled St.-Emilions, the 2009 exhibits seductive, beautiful raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of minerality as well as spicy oak. Lavishly concentrated, full and fresh, ethereal in both its texture and weight, and light on its feet, it can be drunk early in life yet has the stuffing and balance to last 20-25+ years. ||Note: Bottle variation was an issue. This note is for the best tasting examples. Wine Advocate.February, 2012
Silky and very pretty with cedar and chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a clean finish
Tasted at the Association de Crus Classé tasting at Grand Pontet. A blend of 44% Merlot and 28% each of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, this has a relatively taciturn nose that takes some coaxing: blackberry, plum, a touch of molasses and orange zest. The palate is well balanced with espresso-tinged black fruits, nicely defined, focused, quite toasty towards the finish but it has great harmony. It just misses a little complexity and weight. Tasted March 2010.
