Critic Notes
This superbly-situated estate rarely lives up to its potential, but the 1993-95 vintages appear to be moving in the right direction. A deep saturated ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet, ripe, cherry, blackcurrant, and Asian spice aromas. This medium-bodied, elegant, pretty wine possesses a velvety texture, fine concentration, and no hollowness or hard tannin (two characteristics that plagued many 1994s). Drink this well-made, smooth wine over the next 8-10 years. Feb 1997, www.robertparker.com
Score: 87-/100 Robert Parker
