The Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey has a mineral-led, citrus-driven bouquet that is tightly wound at first - delicate touches of orange blossom and apricot emerging from the glass. The palate is well-balanced and attired with a mellifluous, spicy entry. There is certainly good weight and concentration here, the finish long and satisfying, perfectly controlled. This is always a dark horse Sauternes and in 2013 they have produced something a little bit special. Apr 2014, www.robertparker.com
