Already a slightly dark colore. Beautiful concentration. It’s rich and very sweet with intense notes of bitter oranges and honey. Superb finish that long and racy with notes of botrytis. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com
This is a rich generous Sauternes with rounded sweet marmalade characters. The sweetness is well balanced by firm acidity which lifts the flavours. Overall, this is a good example of a well-made Sauternes from the 2010 vintage. Jeannie Cho Lee MW asianpalate.com
The Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey has an ebullient nose of Tropicana, dried honey and quince that intensifies in the glass whilst maintaining impressive definition. The palate is very well-balanced with superb tension and focus, a Sauternes built of minerality and poise, leading to a citrus, almost spicy finish that leaves the mouth tingling with pleasure. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate May 2011
The 2010 Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey is much more reserved on the nose compared to the 2009. This feels rather aloof. The palate is tense on the entry with a touch of lemongrass livening things up. Modest weight in the mouth, less viscous than the 2009, it has a spicy, very linear and attacking finish with an almost Mosel-like intensity. Very fine. eRobertParker.com.December, 2014
Very deep gold. Quite good intensity and muscularity. A bit brûlée and dense and chewy. Polished and muscular. Mid to heavy weight and with lots and lots of sugar! Just not an awful lot of subtlety. RS 125 g/l, TA 4 g/l. Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com
