Bags of acidity balancing the very high sugar content, impressive, and as always an intriguing touch of Muscadelle-like floweriness which is the signature of the growth. Marvellous finesse. Drink 2020-2050. (19 points) Michel Bettane, decanter.com
Gorgeous apricot, ginger, green fig and honey flavors show lots of density, with a sweet, rich finish. A big one in the making. —J.M. James Molesworth, winespectator.com
The La Tour Blanche 2010 has an outstanding bouquet with beautifully defined aromas of dried honey, peach skin, melted wax and butterscotch – linear, taut, and focused in keeping with the vintage. The palate is beautifully proportioned with that thread of acidity interwoven through the botrytized fruit. This is a Sauternes with volume and dimension and yet I am seeking more persistency on the finish, because it feels like the job is done too early. This is a good wine that dare I say, could have been even better with more ambition. eRobertParker.com.April, 2014
The Chateau La Tour Blanche has a complex bouquet with scents of grapefruit, honey, apricot and white flowers. The palate is very well-balanced, with a great sense of tension and poise, and notes of citrus lemon, lime, dried honey and a touch of marmalade that lead to a tightly wound, focused, almost Germanic finish. This is intriguing Sauternes that should repay considerable cellaring. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate May 2011
Fresh nose which is both a little bit grassy and lightly tropical, ripe lemon. The palate is very nicely balanced with sweetness in complete harmony along side the acidity giving a long clean finish. There is also complexity of flavour with notes of tropical fruits (watermelon) and something else more complex, difficult to put my finger on...
Green and coconut on the nose. Streaky green and massively sweet with the pear juice quality of botrytis. Dense and rich. A bit jagged. Very, very young. RS 130 g/l, TA 3.9 g/l. 13.8% Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com
