A juicy and fruit wine with dark chocolate and walnut character. Full and flavorful. Needs a little more in the center palate but excellent. Mar 2016,
Oenologist Pascal Chatonnet's property. Impressive texture and tannins. The oak shows but it's well integrated and there's freshness as well. Well-rounded tannins and a long, fresh finish. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW,, Drink: 2020-2028
This is nicely rendered, with a plush edge to the raspberry and plum coulis flavors, backed by a lightly singed alder note and a light mineral echo. Mar 2016, James Molesworth,
The 2015 La Sergue has a showy, licorice-tinged bouquet that displays good intensity if not quite the delineation of some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, nicely judged acidity, but at the moment it just doesn't quite deliver the complexity on the finish. This may improve during its élevage, so let's see how it turns out. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2019-2029
Light and gamey. Correct but a bit unambitious. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2021-2030
