Made in the style of a St.-Emilion garage wine, but revealing a telltale Graves character of smoke, mineral, and hot rocks along with plenty of espresso roast and sweet currant and plum fruit, this opulently-textured 2002 offers noticeable toasty oak interwoven with plum, fig, and black currant fruit. There is good purity and ripeness as well as a surprisingly full-bodied mouthfeel with supple tannins and a silky finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Apr 2005, www.robertparker.com
