Tasted blind at the Southwold Bordeaux tasting. The 2012 Chateau La Couspaude has a slightly muted bouquet compared to its peers: blackberry, leather and earthy notes, but it remains stubbornly sultry. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, chocolaty and here, the oak overwhelms what fruit there is. This is a bit disappointing. Tasted January 2016. Oct 2016, www.robertparker.com
