Average Score 89.2

Slightly extracted style but gorgeous dark berry, walnut and cocoa powder. Full body, velvety tannins and a fresh finish. Long finish. Apr 2016,
The 2015 La Clemence is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of crushed black cherries, mulberries and baking spices with a waft of potpourri. It's full-bodied, savory and chewy in the mouth with great expression and plenty of flavor layers on the finish. Feb 2018,
The 2015 La Clémence is bold, powerful and exuberant. There is no shortage of richness or depth here, that much is clear. Today the tannins are a bit imposing, but if they settle down the Clémence will come in at the higher end of the range. The fruit is ripe and pushed forward, but there is just enough freshness to keep things in balance. La Clémence is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Apr 2016,
Lightly floral nose. Just a little brutal and chunky/aggressive in terms of oak. Very drying tannins on the end. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2023-2040
The 2015 Château La Clémence offers raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry on the nose that feels more refined and low-keyed than in recent years. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline, licorice-tinged entry and then there is that expected overripeness that has been a tendency for this Pomerol cru in recent years. The nose boded well, but the palate reverts to type. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2020-2035
