Average Score 90.1

The berry, coffee and chocolate character in this wine is impressive. Full, velvety and juicy. Soft textured. Pretty fruit. Delicious already. Best after 2015. James Suckling,
An intense wine from the Becot family (Michel Rolland is the consultant), this blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc was cropped at a very low 25.5. hectoliters per hectare. The wine has an opaque ruby/purple color and a big, projected nose of red and black fruits, toasty oak, graphite, and a hint of burning embers. A large-scaled wine at 14.5% alcohol, with the requisite glycerin and unctuous texture, this is a thick, juicy, very pure and impressively well-made wine from one of the most fashionable satellites of the Cotes de Bordeaux (Castillon), and thus kudos should go to proprietress Julliette Becot. Drink it over the next decade. Wine Advocate.February, 2012
There's a solid of core of fruit in this red, with berry, chocolate and light coffee aromas and flavors. Full and velvety
Richly layered fruit. Polished tannins. Good length with a minerally freshness on the finish. A consistent performer in the appellation. Drink 2013-2018
Tasted at Vintex. Macerated black cherries, apricot and a touch of dried prune on the nose. The palate is better, more contained and not as over-ripe as I feared, with harmonious, quite oaky black fruits towards the soft landing on the finish. Moderate length. Fine. Tasted March 2010.
