One of a number of impressive whites for which Stéphane Derenoncourt consults, this Sauvignon/Semillon blend is subtle and refreshing, with attractive lemon verbena and grapefruit flavours and skilfully integrated 20% new oak. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2017-2022
55% Sauvignon Blanc, 43% Sémillon, 2% Muscadelle. Relatively complex nose. As though this is a wine with a future. I really like the dry finish and nutty layers. Bone dry but lots of interest. Racy but not ready. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2017-2024
The 2015 Haut Nouchet Blanc is endowed with superb energy, tension and class. Lemon confit, white flowers and mint are all nicely delineated. The 2015 offers a striking interplay of richness and freshness. The blend is 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Sémillon. The 2015 is class through and through. Simon Blanchard is the consulting winemaker. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
The 2015 Haut Nouchet Blanc might not possess the complexity or nuance of its grander peers, but there is plenty of attractive gooseberry and Granny Smith scents that barge out from the glass and vie for attention. The palate is very well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, gooseberry and nettle notes furnishing the satisfying finish. Enjoy this punchy Pessac-Léognan white over the next 5-7 years. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2018-2025
