A juicy and rich red with lots of fruit verging on jam. Full body, round tannins and a flavorful finish. Mar 2016,
The 2015 Haut Nouchet is deep, powerful and beautifully layered from start to finish. Vivid and exceptionally pure, the 2015 has a lot to offer. Smoke, iron, tobacco and a host of savory notes meld into the powerful finish. Simon Blanchard is the consulting winemaker. Apr 2016,
Stéphane Derenoncourt is the consultant at this 15ha estate owned by the Briest family. Lovely fruit from 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 33% new oak. Lifted, spicy finish with liquorice and tight cassis. Ambitious and successful. Apr 2016, Jane Anson,, Drink: 2021-2032
Tasting note coming soon. Apr 2016,
A Stéphane Derenoncourt wine. Easy-peasy friendly wine. Very dry on the end, but only after a luscious display of ripe fruit. GV? Apr 2016,, Drink: 2021-2030
The 2015 Haut Nouchet has an opulent bouquet with generous red cherry and crushed strawberry aromas that do not hold back. The palate is smooth on the entry with sappy red fruit, impressive body, though perhaps not quite delivering the complexity you might have expected on the finish. Still, there is plenty of guts to this Pessac-Leognan and it should give a decade of drinking pleasure. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2019-2029
