Blending 57.9% Semillon and 42.1% Sauvignon Blanc, produced a wine that reached 14.4% alcohol and will be aged in 50% new oak. – Wake up in the morning, grab a plate of ripe citrus and start squeezing grapefruit, lemon, lime and tangerine. Pick fresh flowers, pour it over rocks, add honey and a hint of ginger and you have the perfume. Pack a magnum of wine into a single bottle to obtain incredible viscosity and concentration which gives you the feel. Taste this elixir and allow it to explode in your mouth for well over 60 seconds for the finish!- Jeff Leve, theWineCellarInsider.com

"This has terrific depth and cut, offering a core of dried pineapple, Jonagold apple and white peach fruit, along with quinine and gooseberry notes, all lined with a bracing jicama edge. The finish is backed by salted butter, brioche and shortbread details. Shows power and purity, with terrific length. Approachable now, but give this time. Best from 2017 through 2030."

This is racy and refined white with beautiful fruit and fresh acidity. Full and fresh with lovely dried lemon and apple character with undertones of pineapple goes on for minutes. Lemon lime too. Reminds me of the 2004. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

A blend of 42.1% Sauvignon and 57.9% Semillon, the Haut Brion Blanc has a slightly deeper colour than the La Mission Blanc. It displays great minerality on the nose, with precision and clarity, notes of green apple, lime flower, zest and white peach. The palate is medium-bodied with great precision on the entry, lovely poise, very elegant with a beautiful, delicate white peach and mineral finish with hints of guava and lychee in the background. Superb. Tasted April 2012. Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com

42.1% Sauvignon Blanc, 57.9% Sémillon. Whites harvested 18 August to the end of the first week in September. Very complex nose: spicy and creamy with intense lemon and orange zest. Clementine? Rich, ripe, zesty, powerful and dynamic. Mealy spice on the finish. So long and has tension and breadth. Enormous power but still refined. Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com
