Containing the biggest percentage ever of Semillon, this is a remarkable Bordeaux Blanc, reflecting its chalky terroir. Grassy, herbal and elegant, it’s sappy and refreshing with very well integrated oak. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2017-2022
Bright, nuanced and finely sculpted throughout, the 2015 Grand Village Blanc boasts striking nuance throughout. Lime, lemon peel, mint, slate and white pepper give the 2015 much of its energy and tension. This is a fabulous showing. The blend is 66% Sémillon and 34% Sauvignon, marking the first time the wine is Sémillon dominated. Partial vinification in steel keeps the flavors bright and very nicely focused. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
Made from 60% Semillon and 34% Sauvignon Blanc. Delicate nose of honeyed citrus fruit, lemon and tarragon. Tangy fruit on the palate with lively acidity and concentration of citrus oils, dried herbs, crushed rocks and a core of sweet lemon. Wonderfully long and vibrant. Apr 2016
The 2015 Grand Village Blanc is a blend of 34% Sauvignon Blanc and 66% Semillon. It has an attractive bouquet with lime, grapefruit and walnut aromas, the Semillon very expressive here. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, lively in the mouth with a brisk pear and nectarine, slightly pithy finish. This wine from Guinaudeau family is well worth seeking out. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2017-2023
69% Sauvignon Blanc, 31% Sémillon, 28 August to 7 September. Barrel-fermented with 50% new oak. 1993 was the last vintage with 100% new oak. Dense and lively. Turbo-charged Sauvignon! Some real elegance and lift - honey and the race of Sauvignon. Expressive. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2022-2032
