1983 Giscours

flagBordeaux / France

Giscours was not as successful as many other Margaux chateaux in this vintage. The 1983 is medium ruby with a soft, fruity, silky texture, light tannins, and medium body. It will evolve quickly as the acidity is low, the pH high, and the wine lacking tannin and great depth. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 11/88. Jan 1998, www.robertparker.com
