The 2021 Fourcas Dupré Blanc has a light nose that needs to show a bit more personality; I find this too neutral. The palate is better, delivering light citrus fruit laced with orange pith, yet I was hoping for a little more tension and mineralité.

Sinew, muscular, salted cracker salinity, this has depth of flavour and is enjoyable, if on the intensely savoury side, finishing with tart pineapple juice, white mango and grilled almond.

Crisp and clear on the palate with flecks of bright apricot, creamy peach and lime zest. It has clear structure in the very subtle creaminess with a good direction of flavour and overall weight. Nice to have with food. Eric Boissenot consultant.
