Average Score 89.1

Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and licorice. Full body, chewy tannins and a clean finish. 15% Petit Verdot gives this a little extra. Mar 2016,
The 2015 Château Fourcas-Borie, a blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, has a lifted black cherry and bilberry-scented bouquet with just a subtle scent of sea salt. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, well-judged acidity, plenty of slightly tarry black fruit with a pleasant salinity on the finish that has fine backbone. This is worth seeking out and I expect it to reside at the top of my banded score by the time of bottling. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2020-2035
75% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Used to be called Fourcas-Dumont. At one stage there was even more Petit Verdot in the blend. Very dark purple. Lift and perfume with framework underneath. Very sweet - exceptionally sweet for Listrac. Almost jammy. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2023-2029
Plum, red berry and sweet floral notes give the 2015 Fourcas-Borie much of its near and medium term appeal. The Fourcas-Borie offers a little more depth and nuance than the Ducluzeau, the Borie family's other Listrac property. Apr 2016,
Tasting note coming soon. Apr 2016,
