Ch. Figeac
Sitting on the border with Pomerol, Ch. Figeac is a distinguished Saint-Emilion estate with an history stretching back to Roman times. The current guardians, the Manoncourt family, however, have been firmly installed for more than 125 years. Under the direction of Frédéric Faye, Figeac has gone from strength to strength and has an eye on a bright future with a two-year overhaul of the winery, beginning in 2018. The consistently superlative quality of its wines means it is classed as a Premier Grand Cru Classé "B" in Saint-Emilion but it is considered the strongest contender for promotion to the appellation's top division ("A"), which counts just four estates. Its already-strong performance was underlined in 2019 when Neal Martin awarded the 2016 vintage a perfect 100-point score
